Rebecca Sharma, Director
Rebecca is a creative fundraising and communications professional with over 15 years of results-oriented experience. Currently working as a fundraising and management professional in the health care sector, she divides her time equally between major gift fundraising and campaign management, working closely with health care and physician partners to link urgent fundraising needs with potential donors to realize greater patient outcomes. Prior to her work in health care, she spent over a decade in the non-profit world, focusing mainly on marketing, communications, and fundraising in Vancouver’s arts community.
Rebecca is a strong advocate in the mental health community. As a volunteer, she has served as Co-Chair of Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)’s Mental Health and Addiction Services’ Family Advisory Committee, helping to develop VCH’s Family Policy and organize and publicize their annual Family Conference. Rebecca is also a co-organizer of Me Too, a six-part anti-stigma speaker series developed in collaboration with VCH and the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation.
Rebecca has always been excited about the essential, anti-oppressive work of RainCity Housing, and looks forward to supporting the organization through insights gained in her professional, volunteer, and family lives.
