Joshua Mann, Director

Joshua (Josh) is a Junior Program Officer at the Public Health Agency of Canada, with a Master of Law & Legal Studies from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Anthropology & Economics from the University of Northern British Columbia. His experience includes working directly with youth, homeless people, street level people, and other vulnerable populations in Northern BC as a Health Educator and Facilitator at a local not-for-profit. This experience allowed him to gain valuable insight into the implications of addictions, mental illness, socio-economic distress and inequality and the major impact of inaccessible housing. Housing continuously emerged as a leading factor in childhood instability, addictions, mental illness, job insecurity, trauma, and abuse.

His work experience includes evaluations under the programming umbrellas of the HIV & HCV Community Action Fund, Harm Reduction, and Early Childhood Development, Aboriginal Head Start and mental health and wellness in the workplace, specifically on Youth Suicide Prevention, National Suicide Prevention Framework, and LGBTQQ2S Suicide Awareness. He brings a good level of knowledge and understanding of the history and impact of colonization in Canada. Josh is passionate about supporting the organisation and being an active member of the RainCity board.
