The Lux

Please note: the ‘bedbug sauna’ located at the Lux is used for Lux tenants only.

The Lux Transitional Housing Program

The Lux Transitional Housing Program provides housing for people with unresolved health needs and complex housing behaviours. By providing housing first, staff can then work purposefully with each resident towards identifying and resolving these issues. Realistic expectations are placed on residents in order to ensure that the most marginalized people are brought into the program. The length of stay depends on each resident’s unique situation and particular set of needs.

The Lux is staffed 24 hours a day with a team of trained support workers. There is a medication administration program and the building is monitored 24 hours a day by front desk staff. All 25 units are self-contained (bathroom and kitchen) studio suites located on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Three units are wheelchair accessible. Read more.

The building is monitored 24 hours a day by front desk staff at the main entrance. All units are self-contained studio suites, and six units are wheelchair accessible.
