Director, Human Resources and Labour Relations

To ensure the organization is best able to support staff and programs, RainCity is seeking a Director, HumanResources & Labour Relations. Reporting to an Executive Director, the Director is responsible for ensuring strategic, effective, consistent and legal people practices and policies throughout the organization. Additionally, the Director will design, develop and deliver strategies and programs in the areas of compensation and benefits, labour relations, health and safety, training and development and employee engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experience human resource leader with a proven track record of labour relations and negotiations. Other characteristics include high emotional intelligence, with the ability to effectively mentor and support the professional development of others. This role will require experience and passion for the non-profit sector, with the ability to understand, communicate and support the mission and values of RainCity Housing, and the models/methods of supporting clients including the principles of Housing First and Harm Reduction.
